The Dez and Rip Center was formed to aid those who wished to better understand their companion. The name behind our LLC began as a joke, then gained traction amongst pet parents, proceeding to blossom into an institution that strives to provide both education and support for families with companion animals in their lives that are looking to deepen their bonds.

Dez has 18 years of experience in behavior modification working with a variety of animals. Utilizing the MACMP (Minimally Aversive Contingency Management Plan) approach, she extols that all behavior is a means of communication. Dez practices science-based techniques and has studied under some of the most prominent names in the field of Behaviorology. She is continually pursuing current research so as to keep her practices up-to-date.

Dez was awarded her diploma for the CBST program at the Companion Animals Sciences Institute—one of the first and oldest established institutions representing the field of behavior for companion animals—graduating with honors. She currently studying for her ABST diploma as a means to ensure that her behavior modification repertoires are empirically sound.

An educator of several years, Rip is the reason that the Center is in practice. She believes that learning should not be limited, and that knowledge deserves to be available to those that strive to obtain it.

As a dedicated advocate of civil rights and autonomy, Rip is a strong supporter of animal welfare and providing resources to those in need. She believes that behavior is a reflection of one’s experience, and that compassion and empathy are the keys to connection and change.

Beginning her dog training journey in 2010, Ana is an ardent promoter of humane training practices and the ethical treatment of all animals. Her vast knowledge allows her to apply behavioral techniques in a variety of situations.

Ana is an invaluable consultant for The Dez and Rip Center, taking efforts to understand behaviors and their meanings whilst prioritizing the welfare of companion animals. Ana seeks to unite families and ensure the health and safety for those within its unit.

Ross is used as our Model/Rival (M/R) to assist in training companions. Ross also participates in behavioral assessments. Bestie

I have NO idea who this guy is

Our Center’s whistle connoisseur and lover of woodwinds, Bestie’s passion for using the forcible expulsion of air to produce sharp musical sounds has made her contributions to our Center’s needs unquestionably vital.

Her tireless dedication to her practice only strengthens the foundations of which our Center rests.

“There’s never been a whistle that I didn’t like."
